What would you have done if you had been in his place. I think that you would have said that he made it worse by moving in with the other person, probably divorced; and moved on.

You are in the median income level for singles, no kids as he has them, at the age were you may not have any more; so what kind of hope are you giving other singles out there who are younger than you and wanting a family?

It seems he keeps trying to show you where the middle ground is, and you don't seem to have moved that much toward him or very quickly.

Have you tried to walk in his shoes? He may not be that happy at his job, then he has to come home and be all loving there, go to the girls activities and be all friendly there; were does he get his free time to think? Does he get to have any fun. Or creative outside of a job scenario.

Seems like you want to have your cake and be able to eat it to.

I could go on but won't, at least not at this time.
