[/quote] Yes, it is a preschool/k. It's in the handbook as a guideline. People follow it because they do things that way anyway. I've never heard of it being an issue. I'm not sure why anyone would think lunchables and disposable plastic containers were preferable to healthier foods and reusable containers. I just don't see how the convenience outweighs the nastiness of the food or the wastefulness of either a lunchable or a Baggie. I don't want my kids thinking it's good/normal to generate that much trash. When they go to public school, they will continue to take their lunch in little tupperwares and with a cloth napkin.
