Where are you seeing these prices????? I pay $4 a loaf for my fancy bread loaf and I bought 30 eggs for 3.99 today (regular price) and I typically buy the 18 pack from target for 2.50ish. [/quote]

Trader Joe’s sells a dozen of organic eggs for $6, and that’s the cheapest I have found. The prices I quoted are at Whole Foods, where I’ve been shopping for nearly two decades. The prices are fairly typical of major grocery chains where I live (Safeway etc). The prices have skyrocketed. [/quote]This is my Aldi receipt today:  	Gold hen Grade A Large Eggs (12 oz)
