It's the girls. No, it's just some of the girls. Actually, it's the lack of fields. Not that, maybe it's the boys. Sorry, no it's the 2014's. Maybe it's the 2015's that are a year from formation. Give it a rest.
I mean people are trying to figure how a club that has so many built in advantages could be so bad.
That's fair but the girls' side isn't bad even with all of the recent changes. The boys' side isn't good but one team is becoming competitive and the hope is that they can build with the incoming younger ages.
Union turned over the entire 2009 roster and still had a terrible season.
And a bunch of those girls are turning around and leaving FVU after just one year, because they see how poor of an organization it really is.
Or just maybe the girls aren’t that good?
Which I guess that means the original FVU girls they replaced were not that good either
Yes this is sound logic, becasue those girls went to BSC and are at the bottom of the table in the NA with the legendary ML in charge
This BSC experience has exposed ML.
Can you please explain this? Is ML not a good coach anymore because he had a bad season?
Walking into a landmine here. The 2010 parents are mostly SYC parents. They think their kids walk on water, like all SYC parents. They are going to tell you that ML lucked into their kids and succeeded despite his coaching. None of their failures are based on teams that favored athleticism over skills throughout the years. They have been WAITING to blame the failure of their kids on him for YEARS. Just like after every failed national run. Top team, go to Nationals, not their kids fault, always coach or other reasons. The bottom line is it was always going to go the way SYC clubs do, start strong, recruit based on athleticism over skill, blame the coach for late failures because of the early recruiting mistakes. That team was doomed whether they stayed at SYC or when MYS decided to bring the whole SYC team over to Union despite MYS saying they valued development over athleticism. Clearly a lie. CW sold his sole that year and went the ARL model, and the group is now performing like all teams that follow that model. This team was, and always will be, CW selling his soul.
Are there any coaches left out there who haven’t sold their soul and genuinely value skill over size anymore? Especially for females? The problem is male coaches do not understand female athleticism, strength or development and default to size at too young an age. Now we have a bunch of dudes deciding which girls are athletic and failing badly long term.
