Regarding kids at the immersion charters who are shut out of DCI. Is Macfarland an option? Or CHEC? How do you lottery into a DCPS middle school language track? I am very unfamiliar with DCPs language tracks and how to lottery into them.
No feeder families have been shut out of DCI even with the expansion of the feeders. None. Relax and see how this years results pan out.
That's both cavalier and dismissive. You lack empathy. Can you really not grasp the stress of families without a current match?
Different poster here with a kid in a post expansion feeder. It’s not a lack of empathy is a frustration with parents who freak everyone out because of their inability to look at a spreadsheet or figure out a drag and drop menu on tableau.
Classes are larger than before, and attrition will likely differ since it was higher during the COVID years. For example, the current class of 5th graders at MV is about 100 students, with 25 on the DCI waitlist. Next year, the class will be about 150 students.
