For those actually interested in this case vs debating elderly care: New info indicates her pacemaker last synced with her iPhone at 2AM on Sunday. Her Apple watch was found on the charger. A light blood trail (more indicative of what a bloody nose would produce- not massive bleeding) was found on the walkway leading from her door to the driveway. Info from a local law enforcement source posted by reporter Michael Ruiz on X.
That narrows down the time for people to comb through their cameras.
That area is so dark at night that I’m worried that people’s cameras couldn’t catch the car image. I don’t like driving in the foothills at night because it feels like being on space mountain or something — like you’re hurtling into a dark abyss. Did anyone confirm if there is a gate for community entry? Those are usually better lighted forth security guards. It’s such an odd crime because if it were just a revenge type crime they would have just killed her in the house. There’s no reason to take her unless they are using her for some kind of leverage—ransom or some crazy “run a story on this crazy thing to get your mom back” type thing. The whole thing suggests to me someone who is very mentally unstable and has watched too many movies/tv shows with this kind of plot line. I mean, remember how Reagan was shot because Hinckley wanted to get Jodi Foster’s attention? Some people who are really divorced from reality do really nonsensical things. I feel so bad for Savannah and her mom and their whole family. Savannahs kids are little (and her sister may also have kids)—I’m sure they are beyond traumatized as well.
I definitely agree about driving in the Foothills at night. All darkness. The neighborhood is not gated- it is one of the older neighborhoods where most of the houses are 40-50+ years old. Seems like door cameras might’ve able to pick up headlights from a vehicle in the darkness (as there weren’t be many cars out ar that hour) but probably not details? But who knows..
Dark, not gated, fairly large home set back on lot seems vulnerable.
