Due to block scheduling, kids with tests on Tuesday may or may not be part of 2nd quarter grades. When tests are a large portion of your grade, this doesn’t seem reasonable. If your kid has a borderline B for example and knows they’ll do well on the mid term to push to A, it doesn’t seem right to penalize the kids due to an arbitrary date of closing the grade book. These kids are so stressed in APS already. The competition for college admissions is insane. [/quote]
