Many Feds enjoyed a near three (3) year long paid vacation during and well past the pandemic. In my hood, most were doing zero work by their own admission and yes, these were highly paid scientists, engineers, etc. I did not notice much guilt in any one of them - but they griped plenty when ordered back to "work". I get it...the law mandates Feds must be paid if furloughed, but this debate is not about that. People should get paid if they work. Simple
This did not happen, so stop with your lies.
NP here. By their own admission Feds bragged about getting paid for no work during COVID. The orange boy heard all of this
How many feds did you have this discussion with? My office was used to telework and continued without much pause. I work on an annual study and kept on schedule. DH is a scientist and went back to his lab (with required weekly testing) after a few weeks. My DC neighborhood is filled feds who worked during the pandemic. Sure parents struggled with young school kids but that was all parents not just feds.
They're just lying. That's all.
