Some Bowdoin parents or alumni have found this thread. Bowdoin isn’t AWS. It’s a good NESCAC, but it’s second-tier with Wesleyan and Middlebury. [/quote]

I agree it’s pretty similar and a fantastic school - but I do agree it’s closer to Wes and Middlebury than Amherst and Williams.[b] I’m sure the differences in quality of the undergraduate experience are negligible[/b], Bit Amherst and Williams have much higher prestige factor, which translates into both biases and opportunities over a lifetime. Bowdoin and Midd both have far superior housing (brand new) and food (excellent), which ain't nothing when you're out in the wilderness. Amherst has Amherst, which is more of a town. Williams has prestige and tutorials (but truly terrible food).  I think teaching is probably excellent across the board.
