I think they are preparing to refuse to comply with the demands of the feds. .
This may be true. Reid thinks having security will protect her from the feds.
Give me a break. The question is can a FOIA request get this info? Do we have the right to know? Is there a threat to the whole school system, but she is only protecting herself? This is serious and we need answers. Many of us face vague threats-needing to reprimand or fire the employee who sees like he/she might be the type to go postal, the solicitor who shows up at your door and you politely decline services and they start cursing at you, etc. I know teachers who have been directly threatened by students. Getting actual security is a big deal. This is not about boundary changes. Something is up. You think superintendents around the country don't face vague threats? It would take a credible threat at the very least to make this happen. Also, why can't she just ask local police to be at an event? How does this work?
If credible threat would hope FCPS would act to get immediate security and not go through a weeks long hiring process- that would be a bizarre handling and exhibit a in any trial of negligence if anything did happen.
