We are not NCAP, but I think this is true. I haven't heard anything similar to NCAP kids are being discouraged to skip HS or summer swim by their club coaches from my fellow summer swim or HS team parents. [/quote]

Not NCAP either, but I can see some NCAP coaches not wanting summer swim to be a distraction for their top swimmers during club swim long course season.  There is some validity to this concern, because summer swim can be a distraction where the summer team is poorly coached/managed.  This may be less of a risk for the 12&U club swim kids, but when they hit the 13-14 group, thoughts of swimming in college are considered.[/quote]
