Why are they doubling down, especially on economic issues?  You can play the lack of logic in your mind.

They believe an outsider who has never run a business is going to set the wages, the costs of goods and services, the price of leases and rents, etc., with all the complexities involved in those.

They're just going to come in and run everything by fiat.  I don't understand the mentality.  Is it a power trip?  How does a politician with no life experience other than politics know better?[/quote]

They don't know better, and that's evident to most of the electorate.  The rest want to believe that promises of redistributing wealth will personally benefit them - "free stuff for me!", without regard to the ethical issues around personal responsibility.   [/quote]

Once communism is implemented the free stuff for me crowd that voted it in are rounded up and killed because they are the rabble-rouser personality types that are troublesome when their rations inevitably gets low.[/quote]
