Dems need to tack left on economics - like AOC and Bernie - but tack right on social issues - like Seth Moulten or Tester - if they want to have a hope of winning a national election.
Democrats don't want illegal immigration. Biden and Obama deported many more and legally, than Trump. Democrats supported border reform bills that would address the many structural issues that exist. The GOP has tanked the bills every time they were offered, mostly to keep people like you angry. Sadly, their ploy worked.
This. Abortion used to be the issue republicans wanted to keep on the table. They had opportunities over the 50-year run to overturn Roe v Wade, but they didn’t want to lose their single-issue voters. But as public opinion on abortion started to shift, they knew they just needed to get it done and move on to their next boogie man issue. And, to the original pp, do you realize what a small and rare problem trans athletes are in schools? Why shouldn’t it be handled locally? Why shouldn’t school districts be able to make the decision? There are so many variables, so shouldn’t it be on a case-by-case basis? Why do you guys want every aspect of our lives to be controlled by the federal government?
You need to get that hardly anyone agrees with the agenda that men should be able to self-identify as women. The fact that only thousands, not yet millions, of mentally ill men and boys have taken advantage of your dangerous policies changes nothing. Your policies are vile and you don't belong in power until you stop pushing them.
The thing is, in the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness, no one cares what you think. It isn't harming you. You live your life and let them live theirs.
Nope, sorry, try again. Every society gets to decide what's acceptable and this society is in the process of tearing down all of the madness you have introduced to make it very clear to you that transgenderism is not acceptable. Cry about it.
There was a time when being gay, or being black, or being Asian or being a woman could have fit into the sentence you just wrote. Maybe look in the mirror.
Yeah, blah blah, boo. You guys already tried analogizing between your sexual fetishes and race and nobody bought it.
Uh, maybe look at arrest records for who actually are the deviants and have strange fetishes. They aren't the trans people. More likely some southern or midwestern "pastor" who is also a MAGA.
You're on the right track. They are all overwhelmingly men, like your dear "trans women." Men are a demonstrated danger to women and girls, hence why we segregate certain spaces by sex. Your attempt to override that is a deliberate effort to endanger women and girls in service of your ideology. You are a bad person.
I always thought the “Don’t tread on me,” was in reference to tyranny, but you keep telling us that it’s in reference to trans. So tyranny is actually fine with you folks.
Not allowing human males to play on the girls soccer team isn’t tyranny.
Let's draw this out. Exactly how many high school "boys" do you think are playing on girls soccer teams? By the way the right would have you believe, there are thousands and thousands, right? Reality, if there are more than 20 nationally I would be surprised.
And for that they are willing to throw away Social Security, Medicare, they are willing to endure massive price hikes and recession due to stupid tariffs, they are willing to throw away civil liberties and protections, they are willing to throw away food safety inspections, and so much more. Because the incorrectly believe there's some massive epidemic of boys playing girls soccer.
Are you suggesting that the only way we can have all the things you list is if we let Democrats put boys in girls sports? You really can't envisage a country in which we have all these things and we also don't have con artists pushing gender ideology?
I can’t believe you are willing to die on that hill. Just let the country go bc of 10 trans girls.
Again, are you suggesting that the only way we can have all the things you list is if we let Democrats put boys in girls sports?
You are, then.
A typically nonsensical response from the reality deniers give when pinned down. The fact is we can have civil liberties, food safety, and all the nice things in the world WITHOUT mentally ill male interlopers being ushered into women's spaces. You don't like that fact, but it's still a fact. The idea that we have to let alleged "trans women" force their nonexistent "womanhood" down our throats in order for America to be America again is simply a manipulative lie.
Nope. We cannot under MAGA. You could have voted in Harris and then forced her hand on this issue. But, you threw out the baby with the bath water. The fantasy you invented doesn’t exist. Sorry!
Oh. lol. Harris WAS the cause of all this. She was a bad pick through-and-through. Poor resume, pushed divisive rhetoric. She even decided it was a great idea to hold her "victory" speech at Howard U. She didn't split significantly from Biden on the border and police issues, even though she was supposedly a former prosecutor??? If she really wanted to unify the country, she would've picked a mainstream white republican to run with. The election was hers to lose, and she made bad choices and did lose.
I wouldn't say Harris was the cause. Biden, picked her, but he was already in the third demension. But yeah her CV was pretty weak. Then she was handed the nomination with such a short fuse. Though, so was Trump's in 2016. However, Kamala had been in politics and Trump had not. Otherwise, I agree she didn't execute very well, divisive rhetoric and all. I just think her function was more of the fall girl the Democrats could blame their loss on rather than to accept responsibility for their platform collapsing or try to change their course.
