For college recruitment…they need to be able to honestly assess where you are recruitable (at least are you D1 material or not) and should have 100+ college coaches in their phone (again of varying competitiveness and hopefully also varying academic profiles) that they can text to promote you as a fit for that college.

The teams I know around here that pass any real muster for this are the Stars, Dig In (National team), Mid Atlantic Red Sox, Richmond Braves, and MVP (I think Black is their best team that focuses on college recruitment). DMV Prospects is good if you know you are a D3 player…they rarely send kids to D1.

Programs like Arlington United/former senators are great for kids that just want to play more and it’s basically pay to play. These are not kids who are getting recruited even for D3 typically – United has almost no pipeline to college coaches. One thing about prime time is they do have connections With many colleges….but  if you look at the best kids your kids played with over the years they’re not playing at primetime, united, DC Dynasty, programs like that.[/quote]
