Democrats would NOT be shutting down the government! They simply wouldn't be helping the Republicans. The Republicans are in the majority. Passing a budget is there job. If they dont have enough votes to pass it on their own, THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO NEGOTIATE. The dems required nothing of them, not a single concession. They didn't require them to negotiate. They simply rolled over. They are NOT fighting for us or this democracy. The sooner some of you realize this, the sooner we can start to fight. There is no excuse for this. [/quote]

Republicans love to tout merit based promotion yet they can't manage to pass bills that have enough merit to pass without threats and coercion.[/quote]
