I think this is a serious miscalculation on the part of American public health. A blanket recommendation that is at odds with the recommendations of all other countries, and that, in the international medical community, is seen has having no evidence (and as much as people like to mock those who are "doing their own research", there is nothing wrong with consulting the public health authorities of other countries), weakens trust in public health. We are already seeing the effects of this in the concerning drop in uptake of important childhood vaccines.[/quote]
