I will vote for whomever I will pay less money in taxes under.
That would be Trump. His tariffs are a hidden tax on Americans. His inflationary policies are another hidden tax.
Trump has a record of successfully cutting taxes. And inflation was a lot lower under Trump than Biden/Harris. Kamala wants to use your tax money to give $20,000 grants to drug dealers based on skin color.
Whose taxes did he cut? Not mine. Mine went up like a lot of people’s did. It was the millionaires and billionaires who benefited under Trump. Not the rest of us.
We both probably vote for the same people (I’m a very Progressive Dem) and if your taxes went up under trump, then frankly, you’re one of the people who can most afford to pay more. Because yours likely went up due to SALT deduction limits trump put in place on federal income taxes, which affected higher income people with expensive homes in high tax states. So your state and local income and property tax exemptions were capped, and as a result, your federal taxable income was higher. If SALT affected you, you’re already doing fine and should be paying more anyway. I’m of the opinion that NO state or local taxes should be deductible for federal income taxes, but that often puts me at-odds with my fellow “progressives in name only” who suddenly become little Rush Limbaugh's when it comes to them paying more of their money. If your taxes went up under trump, you should be paying a lot more anyway. You can spare it.
