The people that got played the most by the Brit-Saudi alliance were the Turks or the Palestinians. To this day, you can’t say Free Palestine in Saudi Arabia without getting arrested. Kashoggi the pro Palestinian journalist was killed in Turkeys embassy as a message. It’s a deep sensitive spot for the Saudi kingdom because they know the Turks and half or more of the Arab world thinks of them as turncoats for collaborating with the Brits and the Zionists against their Turkish and Palestinian Muslim brothers. This is how people like OBL, a Saudi, were born and went against his family and country and got expelled. The Palestinians of then didn’t understand why the Saudis would want the Brits so badly over the fellow Muslim Turks and why the so called religious Saudis would stand with the Brits after they promised Jerusalem to Israel. It was strictly because an Israeli state meant more Islamic pilgrimages to Mecca instead of Jerusalem (the second holiest city in Islam), and because Israel and Saudi Arabia wanted to man the Red Sea and the oil together with the Brits. So, the Palestinian issue has become a way to discredit Saudi Arabia by the other wannabe powers in the region like Turkey and Iran. Erdogan and Iran help Palestine as an F U to Saudi Arabia. Being the savior of the Palestinians has become a ploy by those in the Middle East that aren’t Arabs (like the Turks and the Iranians). Qatar was so close to kicking and blackballing Hamas out in 2019 for meeting in Iran and saying Arabs don’t care about Palestine, but Bibi told Qatar to continue funding Hamas because he thought it would diminish Iran’s power and leverage in the ME and increase his election prospects in Israel.
