LOL, these are the people who bought at Toll Brothers Mt. Prospect, control freaks
I will never understand spending millions on a house and then sending your kids to public school. If you have that level of financial health, that easily pays for 12 years of private school education for at least two kids. They wouldn’t be here complaining if they had their priorities straight.
Before the last few years, Travilah was a darling, sweet school that seemed on par with private.
The user experience is still a lot like that. I love that all our friends are within a 10 minute drive and we all have similar levels of financial health- we meet up with friends in Rehoboth, we are in Europe this summer and will cross cross with friends here, it’s a really nice setup. I think the unhappiness is with the staff and teachers. And I don’t get all the hate for Toll Brothers Mt Prospect- if you don’t like it, don’t live there!!! We don’t, and we love our spacious private lot and our semi rural feeling 10 minutes to Target, 40 minutes to Georgetown, close to everything yet worlds away. Travilah is lovely.
😂 Sure lady. Everyone always talks about the jet setting parents of Travillah. 🙄 Seriously, you can afford to travel because you are willing to sacrifice your kids education to attend public school. Pay for private school and at least, for your set, that means no European vacations or other extras - for you that might mean no Lifetime gym membership or less Lululemon - who knows.
That’s really grotesque. We could easily do either. We are at Travilah because when we joined it was an amazing very small school with a great education and sense of community. Isn’t that why people actually opt for private?? We stayed because the kids were so happy and they still are. When and if that changes we will pivot to private and yes, keep the European vacations, the ski trips out west, winter in a tropical destination, and all the privileges we enjoy. Does the public school system really want to lose all the people like us? I doubt it!! We do extra tutoring, we volunteer, we donate time and money to the school and every cause. We do it because we have had a great experience and it’s one everyone deserves!!! These are your tax dollars at work friends!
