It’s not a burden men should carry alone.
Feminists want equality, except for hard things like national defense. Feminists are ok when things like that are unequal. Feminists are more than happy to let men carry the burden unequally in those cases.
All the feminists I know including me think that if men get drafted, so should women. Sounds like you need to meet some actual feminists, like the PP whose POV you just completely ignored to post your hackneyed and ill-informed comment.
Why don’t feminists enlist in the military? The majority of the military is male personnel. Why don’t more women volunteer for service?
Why don’t more men sign up to be kindergarten teachers? The majority of early childhood teachers are women. Why don’t more men volunteer to educate young kids?
You can't wait for everyone to "go first" to make the change you're seeking. Get fit, get disciplined, and get your rifles, ladies.
That’s right. Be the change you want to see in the world. Women don’t have to teach kindergarten, or wait to be drafted. There are recruiting offices in every community. Recruiters are falling short of necessary quotas, the military needs volunteers. There is no reason why feminists can’t enlist now, to defend freedom. Males account for about 85% of the Army. Women make up only 5% of the enlisted Marine Corps. If you are a woman posting in this thread, why are you not enlisting?
Why aren’t you?
Already have, deployed to the Middle East. Did basic at Ft. Dix NJ and AIT at Ft Sam Houston. When will you be enlisting?
Just as soon as you sign up to teach kindergartners all day, boo.
It sounds like you're arguing that there may be some innate gender roles that people naturally assort into.
lol, is that what you have arguing about this entire time, moron? There is no such thing as gender, only sex stereotypes. Women can enter the military and do many jobs as well as men. Women are smaller and weaker than men and cannot do some physical jobs as well as men. This is biological reality not gender.
Women can, but the majority choose not to do so. Why is that?
One reason may be because they don’t want to be fighting shoulder to shoulder in high risk situations like combat with men who think they shouldn’t be there and in the kitchen instead.
Women are less capable of fighting in combat. They can't carry the bigger loads. They are far more likely to get injured during combat and rucking between operating areas. They also suffer more from the stress of combat. You'd have to an ideologue to think it's a good idea to put woman into combat given all the data. Quick story: Years ago, the Army asked its soldiers how the physical fitness test should be changed to better measure combat readiness. Pull-ups were resoundingly recommended. Do you know why pull-ups were never added? Because they found that women are so physically weak that they couldn't train their way to doing even 3, so they couldn't create a meaningful line to measure. I could go on about the jokes about the women who are "Ranger-qualified." For your purposes, know that they didn't actually pass the real standards, they were passed so as to make silly feminists happy by cheapening the credential.
Wait where are we in the argument now? The evil feminists want to go into combat and ruin the military? Or The evil feminists hate America and won’t pull their weight by being in the military.
They can still serve in other roles . Don’t be obtuse . The fact they’re willingly ok with being exempt from selective service while their brothers, sons, husbands and fathers die show most women aren’t willing to admit they don’t want equality. They are ok with gender norms when it’s beneficial
So they won’t be risking their lives because they can’t do combat? Trying to understand what is going to be acceptable for you here, because you seem upset both that women aren’t dying in combat and that they shouldn’t serve in combat.
