Madison has a larger ESOL population than neighboring schools like Oakton and Marshall so has been dinged on equity in great schools ratings.  Vienna has a lot of folks who care deeply about equity and serving the community. I think SBG at the outset might have been well intentioned but has now become virtue signaling at the expense of many students, with perhaps those in the middle who feel they have not been impacted one way or the other so don’t care.  All of these complaints could be addressed if the administration shared the data like they did at Herndon. The fact that they won’t is very telling that there is a problem. [/quote]
