They did it to themselves.  They pumped huge amounts of money into wacko political "movements" like the Tea Party and built up vast media networks like FOX and all of the other conservative outlets that specifically went out of their way to pander to conservative nutjobs, conspiracy theorists, gullible low-IQ folks and so on and now this is the result:  continually nominating a rogues gallery of nuts like Trump, who will keep losing elections for them - yes, even against Biden.

They created this dumb rampaging MAGA Frankenstein, and now this monster of their own creating is rampaging through their own village.

And now they are stuck in their own sunk-cost fallacy, held hostage by the beast of their own making.

The GOP seriously needs to start doing some serious introspection and needs to change course and reinvent itself if it ever hopes to have a chance at beating even old geezerly Democrats.[/quote]
