So was Gerry really fired or not?
I mean it's up the air, right? She was technically fired but the only people who know that (or will admit they know it) are Roman, Tom, and Kerry. It's very clear Frank and Carl are moving to support her (I loved when one of they jumped in with "I think it's important for the markets that Frank, Carl, and Gerry be mentioned in the official statements" -- yes, *for the markets*). roman didn't want to fire her anyway and Tom is going to be 100% self-interested here. Kerry is the wildcard and I could definitely see her throwing wrenches in all kinds of things actually. I thought it was interesting when Roman was clearly looking for that maternal/protective thing from Gerry towards the end of the episode and she just walks away because she was still mad at him for firing her. It was sad because roman seemed like a little kid in this episode, but also I don't really blame Gerry.
Kerry is also the least important person here. The only one who wanted her around is dead, so what role does she have now? Proximity to power is not power. At least, it is until it isn't.
Id her NDA null now that he’s dead? She’s got knowledge for sure.
+1, I do think this will come up. Especially because of the stuff with her audition to get a show and the way that went down in such an embarrassing way for her -- I think Kerry will get angry about being shoved aside and, NDA or no, will try to wreak havoc. I'm guessing something like: giving interviews about details from Logan and the kids relationship/interactions in his last days to undercut any move by the kids to take over, writing a tell-all for fame and money that is extremely embarrassing to the company and family, throwing some kind of public fit at or adjacent to the funeral to get a cash payout for silence. Could also see her finding an ally who finds her useful (Greg, Tom, Jerri -- someone who is currently adrift thanks to Logan's death but who could mine some leverage out of Kerry's access to Logan over the last year or so) and getting protection/assistance from them until she outlives her usefulness. I don't actually think that's the end of that character, unfortunately.
