[/quote] Employees have a right to use their PTO. But employers have a right to approve or not approve the taking of that PTO at a particular time. This is typically in the employee handbook or other documentation around benefits. Didn't read the whole thread, but it seems like both employees failed to communicate properly with their manager. If the manager can't have 2 employees out for the whole week, and both employees have events during that week, then they should work it out and come up with a plan that works for everyone.[/quote]
