[/quote] Clear backpack policies are one of those things that schools do because it makes it look like the admin is doing something without actually doing anything. It's easy for the bosses, and the burden falls entirely on kids. Demand better, like competent administration, responsive leadership, closer relationships with law enforcement, and a whole-of-school-system approach to problems.
