It's a great school and most are thrilled to get in and go. do not make your decision based on this anonymous board, where there could literally be one or two people who hate UVA posting on a regular basis to make it feel like there are hoards out there that do. Just about every kid at our NoVA public wanted UVA, only about 11 got in last year and 10 are there (and all are in the top 6% of their class). Pretty sure that means its well respected. The only one who didn't attend that got in got a full ride somewhere else and is planning on medical school so that was important to them.
