Most women/men stay single because they didn’t meet the person they would want to marry. SATC has nothing to do with the lack of eligible marriage prospects for most highly educated women with successful careers. Not everyone wants to be a grammar school teacher with 6 kids. People make different choices and that is okay. It’s okay to love brunch. It’s okay to have 5 kids by the age of 30, if that’s what makes you tick. It’s okay to be single or married and childless.
This. I'm over single and not by choice and because of SATC. I was never about hookup culture, and could care less about brunch. I just haven't met the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. If I never do, then I guess my dogs will watch me die. Whatever. My life is pretty fun anyway. I get to travel and compete in ultramarathons and work on all these side hustles in addition to my job which I actually like. My particular problem with meeting men is that I meet men organically at activities I do, but they're never settled down and it always turns out they are moving away to another state or only in town for a few months or what have you. But I'm pretty zen about it. My sisters have enough kids to continue the genetic line.
