I'm not actually seeing a lot of anti-teacher sentiment, just enormously frustrated parents with kids who are behind and who want them back in school and learning.  I like my kids' teachers.  I also want my kids in school and don't consider that position to be anti-teacher. [/quote]

I agree, although I think that most of the anti-teacher sentiment should be directed at Syphax, not the teachers. I also think that this teacher is pointing out a basic flaw in our system of government. The only people who have the energy to show up at all the meetings are either fanatics or those with financial interests. I don't have the time to show up at all the meetings to discuss covid, any more than I have time to fight the people that want to convert all the roads to bike lanes, or to bulldoze all the trees to build condos, or build schools on precious park space.[/quote]
