Drama over. Now let's see if the new PTSA officers live up to their promise to welcome the Class of 2025 and work for the whole school. I am going to hope for the best.
Class of 2025 parent here. DS got in from Luther Jackson. I don’t trust this PTSA as far as I can throw them. Their members have openly stated that members of my son’s class don’t belong at TJ, and there’s no way for me to know if they were talking about my son. Looking forward to voting them and their like out next year. Lots of discussion in parent groups about this already.
PP (also, OP!) here. We came from LJMS also. Your child will do great - LJMS is a great school and my kid was fully prepared for TJ, despite not prepping and not coming from one of the feeders. I don't blame you for wanting to vote them out - I would if I could still vote (2021). But, it sounds like because of the resignation, there is a two year term of office for the current crowd - I was not familiar with the whole President Elect concept. I hate to say it, but I think that as many parents as possible will have to attend meetings, etc to make sure the kids, not politics, are prioritized. best of luck and congrats to your son!
