First of all, being a person of color doesn't mean you haven't internalized the messages of white supremacy.

Also, you are arguing against doing things people aren't doing. No one is saying we can't talk about white guys, just that they need to be fully understood.

Is anyone removing Little House books from libraries? I remember changes that were intended to, again, understand Laura Ingalls Wilder more fully as a product of her time and place, and I think the name of an award was changed.

I also don't see how people can say "It's not fair to judge the Founders by current standards" and say "The Founders were heroes and we must admire and follow them."

I think the current county seal looks like a toothbrush with a big squirt of toothpaste on it. [/quote]
