Umm, it might not be contagious in the strict sense but did you know you can get it from a mosquito and not just a tick? UMMC infectious Lyme specialist informed me it doesn't have to be a tick! Do you know you can get myriad other illnesses from ticks too?
And do you know what you would wish if you got Lyme and didn't catch it right away? You will wish it killed you. Plus, pregnant mothers can transmit it to their fetuses. Oh, and do you venture outside, why aren't you scared of Lyme disease when it is everywhere, nonstop? Who cares if it is contagious when it spreads faster than Lyme does in the DMV.
