WMATA has already spent considerable money doing all of these things. Based on your claims that reduced headways on metrorail and regular/frequent bus service would induce demand, they actually did it. They spent the money that could have been used on other capital projects to do this stuff and guess what? It didn’t work. Listening to the transit bros reminds me about a joke from the 80s/90s about campus leftists in the US. When faced with real world examples of where communism and socialism failed, they always claimed “true communism just hasn’t been tried yet.”[/quote]
