I am from Europe and have travelled all over the world and lived, with my daughters, in a number of countries.

This is the only country in the world where soccer is a major sport for girls.  Go to anywhere in Europe and try to find a team for your daughter to play on.  You'll be in for a looooong drive if you can even find a girls' team at all.  Or she'll have to play with the boys.[/quote]

That’s factual. Not only are we (US) the size of Europe, soccer is a big time girls sport. The fact that any country can even compete with us shows how bad we are at developing and scouting talent. We dominate on sheer numbers.

This is why girls who can't make the USNT go overseas to play with another national team.  Philippines, Norway, Mexico, etc. If your daughter really wants to play - find a link - call a lawyer for a loophole etc etc [/quote]
