I hope not but the one mom who keeps doubling down is making me question. You really, as an outside person, cannot and should not be judging other people’s kids academic capabilities based on what you overhear in an online classroom. I strongly dislike the idea parents think they can say things like who in their kid’s class are “low.” That phrasing alone is problematic, I only use it because she did, specifically saying  “the lowest 4” aren’t going in.

Going after teachers is one thing. Listening and watching and then thinking you can judge other people’s small kids is another. Bothers me a lot. [/quote]

I don’t have an educational background so I don’t know the better way to phrase it. It’s very clear that some kids are behind. It does not take a checklist to notice which kids are always being called to work with a support teacher. The kids who need the most help are not going in person. You can say I’m a terrible person for noticing that, but it’s true.[/quote]

Ok well at least you know you’re pretty terrible for talking about other people’s kids like this. Maybe some mom in your class is saying similar things about your son. You would be fine with that of course since his academics and behavior is up for other people to judge. [/quote]

You act like an anonymous comment about an anonymous class in an anonymous school on DCUM is the same as gossiping about Larla M’s reading level on the playground. Our teachers have done a wonderful job with the crap sandwich they were given. The truth is that parents have been dragged into the classroom this year on an unprecedented level. Forgive me for noticing things while I was there.[/quote]
