+1000 We are in state but attend private in DC. Annoyed that my kid can get into Wake Forest or Michigan, which cluster around the same ranking as UVA, but will be rejected from UVA. It is a tough pill to swallow when we have been paying taxes here for 25 years. I wish they would make the in state vs out of state ratio similar to UNC or UT Austin. Jealous? No. Frustrated? I wouldn’t suggest they do the top % system they do in Texas. But wouldn’t a 75/25 or 80/20 ratio be a bit better for Virginia residents? [/quote]
