NP here. Well, it's a valid question. Why is this a responsibility of the school district? I think we can all agree that we should help those that need help. But why is it the schools' responsibilty versus the town the state or the federal government?[/quote]

No.. the students have to go to the school to get their meals.. they are not in school.  It still requires for families (an adult has to get the food- a child cannot go alone) to physically go get the food - which the county could do with added food banks. [/quote]
