I would like BASIS, or any good school, to succeed. Part of that is winning parents' confidence upfront and that isn't happening so much here. What you have here in DC is a bunch of parents who had high hopes when Michelle Rhee came in with all her promises to make DC the highest performing system in the country by sheer force of will and bullying teachers to teach harder or get out. Can't blame parents for wanting something more than big promises and little substance.[/quote]
