No one’s really arguing with this guy about most of what he’s written, but we’ve got pages of mathematical geniuses arguing over the risk of kids dying. This much is certain, the decision to send or stay is really much more complex than that. Oh well. Good luck everybody. -working parents, choosing DL for safety, convenience, education, socialization and mental health reasons. We exist. This is not a binary choice between having these things in one scenario and not in the other.
Most of the rest of his points have nothing to do with our family. He can argue to himself about whatever he wants. I disagree with his risk assessment and the value of in-person interaction. Beyond that, he's just talking to himself.
Looks like he was talking to his friends online and someone posted what he said here, so he was never talking to you. Good luck this year, I mean it in the real sense, not the snarky one. Tough choices for everyone. I find myself talking to myself everyday for the record. This is a crazy making time.
It’s been shared nearly 18,000 times on Facebook, not to mention I’ve seen it copied here and on Reddit. He’s talking to a lot of people, and he’s doubled down on his bad math. It’s incredibly annoying that something so inaccurate has become so widespread. No one cares about truth or facts anymore.
This is what really upsets me. He mad some ok points, but he also chose to focus on the 302 number making it front and center with a big graphic. Maybe he initially miscalculated, whatever, i am honestly shocked he published the number in the first place because the second I read that number I knew there was no way it was correct. But then when it was pointed out to him numerous times he didn't change it. Instead he defends his crappy calculation and why he used it. Meanwhile it keeps getting shared by morons who don't have the sense to question that number and a bunch of idiots are freaking out that 302 kids will die. His unwillingness to change his post along with the idiots who take it at face value is disturbing. This Joe dude is a complete moron who should send his kids to school, they will certain fare better in a classroom than being schooled by their incompetent father.
But why does it matter? Is it because you think it will turn the tide and take away the hybrid option? People have been spewing bad science and stats about this virus from the beginning, including, that it doesn’t effect children. People also believe this is a hoax—does that make it reality, no.
