All teams have time trials as that is part of the meets. That determines if you are swimming A or B meets. Most private pool teams have preteam for kids who cannot swim a 25 but the time trials are not for selection for team but for meets. Our team has a week of practice/try out (usually most get selected the first day or two) for new kids and some are turned down.[/quote]
