Yup. This is what I've been trying to get across when liberals talk about the neo-Nazi groups on the alt-right, and proudly exclaiming how you don't find outright hatred like that on the left. No, I say, the minuscule number of people who marched in Charlottesville is nowhere near as concerning to me as the tolerance (or minimizing) of the antisemtitsm on the left. The very fact that White, already widely criticized for disrespect to Jews,  can stuff his face while the rabbi is pleading for help in the face of antisemtism among DC leaders speaks to that very thing.[/quote]

I feel you.  From my own personal perspective am I frustrated if a video surfaces of a cop shouting racial expletives while beating black man who is not resisting arrest, heck yeah the outright bigotry is disgusting, but I totally get where you’re coming from cause I’m more angered by the tolerance of other officers who don’t say shit and allow such individuals to have a gun and a badge and patrol minority communities knowing what kind of people they are.  I definitely feel you.  But just like it’d be overzealous on my part to go full-fledged N.W.A and say, “F___ the police!” cause that attitude only exacerbates the problem the same applies to this, “F____ the liberals!” attitude.  It don’t help shit.  We gotta uproot out the weeds by all means we can’t piss on the whole damn lawn.[/quote]
Yes. We are speaking the same language, although admittedly you have much more colorful expression! (I've been told that I lean too heavy to the formal side, as times.)

So true what you say. It is not the one NOI soldier spewing his venom that is the most upsetting, or the most dangerous - although that of course is reprehensible, just as is a cop shooting (or choking) a black man who presents no threat. It is the reaction of others who seek to downplay it (or worse, ignore it) because that is the behavior that enables more people like the NOI soldier to unashamedly advance the same - or even greater - prejudice. (Not sure if "soldier" is the right term.....)

(Reminds me when my then 6-year-old daughter snuck a little toy in her pocket at the store. My husband wanted to just forget it since it was such a minor infraction. No way, Jose! I did not want to teach our daughter than shoplifting a $5 item isn't so bad, or next time, she'd try to see if she could get away with a bigger theft. Plus I did not want her bragging to her friends that she stole a toy, and Mommy had no problem with it. I made her go back to the store with me, toy in hand, and admit to the owner that she took it and was wrong to do so.)

I am glad that Lopez was forced to resign but very disappointed that Trayon, who now seems to delight in showing disrespect to Jewish people, even a rabbi, will face no consequences.

That's my impression. In over his head without good mentors. I'm personally not going to judge him based on his reactions on camera. Lopez OTOH, glad he is gone. Hopefully someone older and wiser can help White along. I addime he must have considerable talents and abilities. [/quote]
