What you two are missing is that not that the dem beat a bad candidate, but that as the GOP trends more toward the fringe, all they are left with are bad candidates. The GOP is racing to the bottom as fast as they can - trying as hard as ever to be racist, sexist, backwards party of old white men.

The leader of the republican party proudly endorsed Roy Moore. Recorded robo calls for him. Held rallys where he yelled, "Go out and vote for Roy Moore!"
