Interesting. https://x.com/ussoccercoll/status/1918454492493996523?s=46
Confirms what was reported here weeks ago. In addition to dropping the U14s and now charging the families 10k a year for a mediocre school option, DCU continues to be the laughingstock of MLS academies and this won't change anytime soon. It's really pathetic.
did they drop the entire u14 team for just next season or indefinitely?
Indefinitely
DCU literally does ZERO to develop youth soccer talent in the DMV. Not only did they cancel their U14 team (after giving offers!) but they offer ZERO training opportunities for kids in the DMV area; no youth programs like the NYRB RDS programs. DCU used to offer such programs (all for a fee, so it's not like they were doing it for free) but they cancelled all of that years ago. Hard to believe that in this area, one of the areas of the country with massive interest in soccer, the MLS club is so poorly managed with respect to youth talent development.
Can you let someone else get a comment in edgewise buddy? You ain't saying nothing new you haven't said a thousand times since you created the thread We know you constantly reply to make the thread remain active for your obsession in psychotic fashion
And everyone knows it's you that claimed that DCU cutting the U14s next was a lie. You also said DCU making the parents pay for schooling was absurd and wasn't happening. All posted weeks ago and proven to be true. You must be way in your feelings right now. A kid at DCU and they are charging you five figures for sh#t programming and schooling. Cannot get any worse. Keep defending them and they will keep screwing you. And keep posting. I will be here to respond with real information not deflection and name calling.
If I had a kid at dcu, six figures would be fine with me Where is your kid and how much are you paying. I think that should be your focus. Not stalking other people's children or the organization that rejected you long ago
A fool and his money are soon parted. AMIRIGHT? Mine is at another academy, not having to pay 10k. Some monthly pocket money is my expense. We're not stalking children, we're discussing how badly DCUA needs an overhaul. Hell, all of DCU. Crazy that we have such a shit show of an academy for an area like the DMV. It's so bad that professionals outside the area are recognizing it.
Your kid is at another MLS academy (that also sends less than 0.3%) to professional ranks yet you're spending all this time focused on what another academy is doing? Why? Also, how do you know the development status and track of each individual player at the academy. From the day they arrived to where they are today? Or you're just using the word development indiscriminately out of context?
Why? Because if DCU was halfway decent, I wouldn't have had to ship my kid across the country, he could have lived at home. And by your logic, if an academy from Europe came calling, we should turn it down because they also send less than 1% to pro ranks. Laughable. That kid Cavan should just stay in Philadelphia right. What a fool for going to Man City academy!
