Frankly it's pretty damn sad that even China is leapfrogging the US with things like high speed rail. And it's happening because Republicans block progress and infrastructure investments. They want government so small you could drown it in a bathtub. They have some deranged and delusional vision of wanting things to be exactly the way they were in 1783 when the Constitution was penned.
