The boys top 2013 team has a terrible coach. They aren't good b/c of coaching that's for certain
We have won 16 games, lost 1, and tied 4 games since I’ve been the coach. How am I terrible?
Why do you think winning games when coaching little kids is how to best measure whether someone is a "good coach"? Just curious.
Why do you think that is what he is saying? Winning games is one of many ways to quantitatively measure a Coach’s performance. As the Coach of the 1st team playing in a league that is supposed to be the 1st teams from other clubs and perhaps 2nd teams what other quantitative measures are available to compare?
Not really. Especially u-littles. It shouldn't be about winning. It should be about development. Valor has a problem with development because of nepotism.
Nobody is saying winning is everything. It is about development and winning and losing is a part of the growth and development process.
Exactly. This 'winning is the metric of whether it's a good coach/team/club' is why the club, and many in the area, guest kids down regularly, out them in lower divisions and brackets, and only focus on one or two players a team. Congrats, you won a tournament! Don't worry one kid scored all the goals and yours just watched.
