This has been answered a million times; the FBI and the courts wouldn't allow it either for Biden or for Trump as releasing the evidence to the public would violate the privacy of witnesses and informants and might interfere in future investigations, even though no such investigations are forthcoming.

That said, it was an explicit campaign promise by Trump, who has now gotten the government closed over the issue.[/quote]
