Wow, just noticed they have four teams on the girls U10. That's hilarious and sad. The bottom two teams must be truly terrible. Valor girls side teams are generally not good even the "gold" or "pre-ecnl" teams.
They had that last year too. They couldn't hold that many players for u11 this year and the second team is BAD. Retention past u10 on the girl's side is really hard, especially good players. Their top team picked up second team players from clubs like VRSC, which didn't even have a second team until last spring. Yikes. doesn't look good imo even if they somehow managed some wins this season in pre-ecnl.
Don't most clubs collapse in team count when going from 7v7 to 9v9 rosters (then again at 11v11)?
Yes, the number of returning players from U10 to U11 was not that great.
They lost 8 players from 4 teams, 5 of which were from the Daddy ball team. Losing 3 players from your remaining 3 teams being referred to as “not that great” is an ignorant statement. When 90% of the pp’s who returned have yet to see similar growth, development, and or results compared to last season they start trying to figure out why through 7-10 pages of this thread related to the teams in this division. Keep in mind, your experience through a season is not your dd’s.
It was not 3 players for 3 teams. ROFL I know players on the first and second team 2014g at Valor and this is 100% not true. When parents are new and told to 'trust the process' while they are continually losing to teams they should be easily beating, and would have last year. First team is doing ok but the second is a mess and the parents who stayed are already looking to jump ship from the decline in player quality for their second team.
It was two players from top team (one to level out into her age group). One who left was moved down from top team to second team. I think one left the second team, not sure why but she was also moved from first to second team during the season. The new players who came in are quite good and actually came from TSJ North, which disbanded mid year last year, so they couldn’t be on the first team for VRSC. Nevertheless, not sure why anyone cares. Just focus on your own team/ kid and if you aren’t happy with where you are then leave. Stop making stuff up and blatantly lying. Everyone knows you wear a size 6 shoe, especially your wife.
