Ha!  Half of the “poor DC resident kids” are probably PG residents whose parents sneak them into DCPS and aftercare programs for their convenience.  In many cases the cheating parents even “work” for the DC government.  Talk about “free stuff” - except, of course, to the DC taxpayers who foot the bill for such fraud.[/quote]

You are doing a poor job of defending poor behavior by Maret where a significant number of students are known to be non-residents. While the historic designation limits building on the Maret campus (gosh, I wonder why Maret sought out that designation, hm?$), there is nothing stopping Maret from finding and buying a parcel and building their own field. Yes Maret has a huge share of non-DC residents.  Ridiculous that the new line of defense from the Maret community is that the kids who want to use Jelleff after school are not DC residents. Anything to distract from their shady backroom deals with the DC government and their shaky financial situation that makes them unable to acquire a private field at a market rate.[/quote]
