Sounds like one of those "grow the game" lists where they have to include kids from Indiana, Ohio, and Arizona. Was there a "NOVA" quota like a "west of the Mississippi" quota on some of those other lists?[/quote]

The Fairfax/Arlington/Alexandria publics get a set number of spots as part of the Virginia North region.  There is a separate Virginia Loudoun region with a set number of slots for Loudoun County publics.

The WCAC, IAC, and MAC schools - including the Virginia privates in those leagues - are all grouped into the Potomac Region, which gets just four slots a year.  Considerably harder to make All American for a player in the Potomac Region than for a player in a NoVa public.  In some years, there are Under Armour All Americans who do not make US Lacrosse All American for the Potomac Region.  Similar situation for the MIAA in Baltimore.[/quote]
