Garrison Keilor should be so goddamned ASHAMED of himself.  Where in holy hell is the humanity in that reaction?  His column is that of an old, old man, who by luck (of career success, because I've listened to god knows how much Prairie Home Companion and it's..eh; of the year and place he was born) and sex and a fuckton of other stuff has security I've never known, and I'm more educated than Keilor and live elements of a snarky lefty life surrounded by the same.  I'm mixed race and a woman.  And the absolute hatred condoned, fomented and spread by our President-elect got him in office and must be fought, peacefully, civilly and legally, at every single turn.  But this thread absolutely perpetuates the 'Davos class' idea that Klein and others talk about, and it's not only not helpful, it's fucking destructive, and so is a bunch of six-figure earners sneering at people who have had their towns, counties and almost entire states implode because there is NO industry.

For those of you sneering, read this and get over yourselves.
