Even if you out policies in place to make Maryland unfriendly to illegals, you'd still have tons of native born Spanish speakers in classrooms.
Come on. There were a few Spanish speaking kids (like 3 to 5) in the classrooms before but they were intermixing with the native born children and the other foreign nationals so there was still a sense of cohesion and community. Now the numbers are much larger, the class sizes are now bursting, they are not integrating as much, preferring to create their own group with whom they speak Spanish most of the day. And the other kids are aware of it. The system can't handle it and it's MD policies that are hurting current tax payers and the future generation of citizens with crowded schools of illiterate illegal kids who require lots of resources and attention. A lot of damage has been done in only 4 to 5 years. It is alarming.
